Pizza Oven to mark 50th anniversary
The Pizza Oven, based in Stark County, will celebrate its 50th anniversary at 6:30 p.m. Friday with a party at the Canton Memorial Civic Center. Admission is $10, with proceeds going to the Canton Ex-Newsboys Charities, a provider of coats, shoes and clothing to Canton City Schools students in need. Wal-Mart to install scheduling software Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the largest private U.S. employer, is beginning use of computer software that will allow the company to schedule workers based on the number of customers in stores. Wal-Mart began testing the software last year and plans to have it installed in all U.S. stores sometime next year, spokeswoman Sarah Clark said. All cashiers and customer service employees already use the system, she said. The software assigns employees based on customer traffic rather than on a store's sales, allowing the company to meet demand at peak times.
